NZ Paranormal Season 1 DVD

Brad Scott from NZPI was kind enough to send me Series 1 of NZ Paranormal on DVD which was featured on Triangle T.V down here in New Zealand. I think I promised to do a post about the 2-Disc DVD and it majorly slipped my mind, that was like 3 or 4 months ago, Brad if your reading this, I’m so, so sorry.

I missed the run of NZ Paranormal on the tele down here, but I did see all episodes on Youtube which you can still view over at Brad’s channel, but after watching the DVDs youtube just doesn’t cut it, so if you’d like to enjoy this series to its fullest I’d suggest ordering it from Brad himself at a very reasonable price.

They’re working on their second series through 2009 and I get the feeling it’s going to be bigger and badder than the first series, so looking forward to it.

Girl Possed while using Ouija Board

I’ve used a Ouija Board once, nothing happened, though we didn’t put a lot of effort into it, probably because if we had something could have happened and we’d be screwed, well that’s the thought that pops up in my head every time Ouija is mentioned.

My first impression of the video below was that it looked fantastically authentic, then I read the users profile, she’s a filmmaker, bunked already, so why am I posting it? well, it’s top notch stuff, I love things that invoke an emotional reaction in me, which this did and not a lot of things on youtube do that for me.

EDIT: Reading through the comments on youtube it looks like the user isn’t really giving to much away about the authenticity of the footage, the tone leans toward it being real, so who knows.

Woman Possessed By 3 Demons

I was sent this video through the contact form and I haven’t checked if I’m allowed to share who it’s from so for now they’ll remain nameless, unless you want the credit?

The video is of a woman supposedly possessed by 3 demons, they say it may have been because of a curse put on her by her husbands lover, it’s very distressing and graphic. I have my feelings about exorcism and possessing so I’ll leave it at that and let you decide.

Metal Wires growing from woman’s belly

Apparently this is big news in Indonesia, a kindergarten teacher from Sangatta, East Kutai named Noorsyaidah has suffered from a curious affliction for 17 odd years, she’s been growing metal wires from her belly.

Apparently multiple Medical Specialists have checked her out and are stumped.

An Orange Sky at Night

So right now to me this video looks like a nice sun set. The video shows an orange sky shot at 9pm at night, what I’m wondering is at that time is it supposed to be pitch black? because I know down here in NZ with daylight savings it’s still light out at that time.

If it’s supposed to be dark out then this video is pretty strange.

Who is James Hydrick?

There are videos out there that I come across quite often, some of these I re-watch whenever I do just because they’re so dang interesting.

One of these videos is of the 80s Psychic fraudster James Hydrick being called out and exposed by James Randi, every time I come across it I have to watch it, though I’d never researched any further into this guys history or even where he is now, he could have been dead for all I knew, so I gave into my procrastination and did some research.

James Hydrick appeared on the show “That’s Incredible!” in 1980 showing off some of his tricks, one of the hosts appeared to be pretty skeptical of his powers, rightly so as they make for some great party tricks. Hydrick was later called out by James Randi on the show “That’s My Line” where Hydrick failed the task presented to him.

Not long after, Hydrick confessed to a journalist that he had no psychic abilities and that he was actually using his breath and other techniques, a lot of which he had taught himself while in solitary confinement in prison. He went onto say that because he had no attention from his parents he liked the attention that his trickery brought him, so he pretty much rolled with it.

As far as I can gather James Hydrick is in prison and also as far as I can gather for some disgusting crimes.

So that’s my basic research on the fella, what’s left for me to wonder is how in the hell did anyone believe his party tricks, I do most of that stuff at parties (well, apart from the phone book thing that actually looks pretty amazing) and most of the people I show pull the tricks off moments after with no explanation from me, though I guess it shows, his peak didn’t last long.
