Hi I’m Rand (not my real name) and I’m the admin/blogger to Paranormal Activities, I live in New Zealand, all my life in fact, I’m a trained artist/graphic designer and I blog because I have nothing better to do.
What’s my aim with Paranormal Activities? well I guess at this time, it’s to present the latest and most interesting paranormal related videos that I can find. Aside from that I aim to present them in a way that lends itself to further research from the readers by providing as much info that I can right off the bat, making for a nice jumping board of sorts.
What’s my motivation? Well I’ve always had an interest in the paranormal, aliens, bigfoot etc and a few years ago I discovered blogging. I’ve had multiple blogs over the years (I think my first was about tattoos and art) but for the most part I couldn’t sustain them, I became disinterested in my chosen topics pretty quickly, a part from one, the paranormal. I originally set-up My Paranormal Life (my first attempt at paranormal blogging) as a joke, but as I was taking my other blogs way to seriously, I couldn’t help but feel drawn to the subject matter of MPL and eventually it became my main focus.
Three or so years of MPL, I felt I needed a change, so I more or less left MPL behind and created Paranormal Activities. There’s two main reasons for the change, for one, MPL was hosted on a free service, great service for sure, but it didn’t allow for the expansion I wanted, hence the change to my own domain name and hosting, now it’s a matter of to much control. The second reason is because I got a little to crazy with advertising, some of the companies I chose to feature on MPL didn’t allow for an easy way out of the agreements I made and as a result MPL became bloated with ads and I don’t intend to repeat that mistake with Paranormal Activities.
So there’s a little bit about me, a little about why I do it and a little about the history of Paranormal Activities. Hopefully you’ll enjoy what I have to present and I’ll catch ya on the spooky side.
