Sounds like you've had some good times, I've never been on such a journey myself, a few days is usually more than enough. Yes food tastes awesome cooked and eaten outdoors, it's also great around where I live as there is so much food to be gathered from the sea, as fresh as walking out of the water and plonking it on the fire.

Gotta get some more outdoor activities in before the end of summer, already feels like the days are getting shorter.

It sure does look like you had a great time. I need to do the same again this year. In 2005 my daughter and I set out on a 24 day (21 states & Canada) camping trip. We lined up KOA campgrounds around the country on an already laid out trip and slept in a tent 19 of the 24 days. There is nothing more fun than camping for me. Camping was almost an every weekend thing for me in my 20's and 30's. I don't remember the miles we covered but my gas cost $1,200.00 and we saw all the sights east of the Mississippi. It really was my daughter's chance to see Chicago, New York, Washington DC, Cape Cod, Niagara Falls, Old Quebec, eat Maine lobster on the water - just had a great time and the weather was fantastic too so camping was ideal. Not a single day of rain. Lots of nature and multitudes of deers. I cheated and didn't totally rough it by buying a queen size blow up mattress. It's either that or drive with a bad back.:) The campgrounds all supply barbecues so that's how we ate. To me food taste tons better cooked outside, especially at higher altitudes. Anyway, I'm sure you had a great time since I've been there and wanna do it again - soon. Maybe this summer, we'll see. Very glad to see you're back and by the way, you didn't miss much anyway - nothing earth shattering anyway,.
