Imagine this: she took pictures of the turtle thinking it was interesting and then said it was some strange creature when her pictures didn’t turn out very good (oops, I mean “clear”). I guess she got her 15 minutes…

I wouldn't have thought a turtle could do that either, but after seeing the creature shown later on in this video, I can kinda of see it. Oh and cool, you can embed vids into comments.

Looks like a spine of half eaten animal.
Whatever drags the carcass.

Kinda dont belive a turtle would drag any carcas.

I live in CT and remember this story. Turns out that it was a turtle dragging a deer carcass in the water. lol. Go figure.

The spine looks crocodilian but weirdly there appears to be a bit at the front that resembles a hippo’s ear! Interesting indeed.

Thanks Suzie, nice to know about the camera. Would have been nice to have a video, would be much more conclusive, that said they are interesting photos. What appears to be a red eye seems a little fake to me though.

Interesting…a monster in the CT Reservoir. Na, if she was using a Canon like she had in the news story, that’s just a really nice SLR, with no video mode. I hope she can catch that thing again, with a bigger and better lens — I’d like to see them find out what it is. I’m guessing some funky hippo or something. The spiny things do a good job throwing everyone off.
